Sending out a list of things to do in Cartagena, Colombia involves compiling a comprehensive selection of the city’s top attractions and activities to ensure visitors can make the most of their trip. The list should encompass a variety of cultural, historical, and recreational experiences that showcase the unique charm of this coastal gem. Prior to the trip we will text out to everyone that is booked a list of things to do and places to eat followed by a highly suggested option.

Colombia’s best hotel bar
Named by Tales of the Cocktail ‘Spirited Awards’ as the only Hotel Bar in Colombia in the Top 10 in Latin America for three consecutive years (which we figure makes us No. 1 in Colombia). We’ll admit that we hadn’t heard of these awards either until we won, but apparently it really is kind of a big deal.
In a city as beautiful as Cartagena, enjoying a cocktail overlooking the domes and churches is an absolute must. Because we’re team players, we obligingly open our rooftop to everyone (not just hotel guests), and from 8am – 1am we offer non-stop drinks, food and the best views of any bar in town. If cocktails aren’t your thing (ok, so that’s a bit weird but we’ll try to understand) you can count on us for a pretty decent selection of wines and Colombian beers, too.

June 21 Friday: Mud Volcano
- Swim, float, and enjoy the virtues of a salty mud bath in Galerazamba, 40 kilometers from Cartagena.
- After enjoying the scenic ride, your clothes will be placed in a locker.
- Climb a wooden staircase of almost 20 meters and jump inside the crater to relax inside the natural mud pool (10 person max).
- You can enjoy a massage and photo service.
- We will have free time to shower and swim in the lake.
- Afterward, we will travel to the Beach of Manzanillo del Mar to enjoy a typical lunch.
Lunch, transportation, excursion, entry fees are included.

Meet under clock tower inside the wall at 8am.
Take a trip out to the party island of Cholon with this group trip from Cartagena. You’ll hop aboard a sport boat and head out to the island, where you’ll have plenty of time to swim, sunbathe, or just hang out in the sun. Lunch is also included in the price of the tour. It is a beautiful colonial house located in the heart of the historic center. It has 11 years of experience under its belt. It has been showcasing the Cartagena culture through its gastronomy, its menu filled with fresh seafood, typical rice, wild meats such as ram or rabbit and symbolic soups such as cheese mote and vinagrette (liver and ripe banana soup). Recipes that tell the story of a golden age and preparations passed from generation to generation make this a must-go restaurant in the city.
Likewise, it offers the experience of understanding the daily life of this centennial Colombian city through your five senses, highlighting its dances and a select repertoire of live music that recalls the history and spirit of the colonial era.
